Been on auto renewal for a few years and noticed this year the premium was over £1,100. Looked at last year £665.
Went online for quotes and can get the same cover for £98 - with the same insurer.......
Pleased to have saved £1000, but now peeved at paying so much last year and previously. Going to phone them tomorrow so they can explain.

How can you have been paying that much and not noticed? Must have been able to afford it.

the old policy is 1000% more expensive than the new one??
How can you have been paying that much and not noticed? Must have been able to afford it.
Was paying £665. Hadn't re-negotiated I suppose. Working long hours, young kids, bikes to use and fix etc.
Working much less now, so have time to sort these things.
