As per title, going on holiday soon and want to load up the kindle with a stock of books from amazon / the library...

Usually go for adventure-y / travel type books or Murakami / Rankin / Irvin Welsh novels...

So what you read recently that you enjoyed?

Recently read Two Brothers by Ben Elton, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Portrays life for Jewish families in pre-WW2 Germany. Wasn't sure what to expect but, with only being 99p on Kindle store, I thought I'd take a punt.

Anything dark and twisted by John Niven. I was away last week and read 'Straight White Male' and 'No Good Deed'. Both will have you snorting away to yourself over some really very downright wrong humour. Also 'Kill Your Friends', 'Kill 'Em All!' and 'the Second Coming' are all utter genius as well

"Endurance" by Alfred Lansing would tick the adventure/travel box. (Magnificently).

Don't know if it's available on e-book but I took a copy of Short Ride on a Fast Machine for a holiday read.It was recommended on an STW thread. I really liked it.

Just finished "No Country For Old Men" - brilliant. (But any Cormac McCarthy, although The Road might not be too much of a holiday read ๐Ÿ™‚ )
