Looking to hire a VW California either beach or ocean. Though I think the ocean would fit my needs better.

Essentially I’m looking to test one for a few days, before splunking a whole wad of cash on one, then regretting it.

Anyone recommend a hire company ? Based in surrey.

Cheers

Haven't used them but first result on Google is these guys, they have vans in Winchester and the surrounding area.

Not used them (but might later this year), near me in SE London: https://www.campervantastic.com/ - they have both Beach and Ocean available to hire.

I used Kamper Hire near Winchester years ago and they were good to deal with.

Thanks all, left it too late for this weekend, but booked up https://www.kamperhire.co.uk/plan-your-trip/ as easy enough to get too and closer to some better driving stuff to test drive.

Testing the ocean as it has everything so might as well go all in.

Prices direct from Vw hire were much better than I was expecting btw.

Definitely a good idea to hire. We took a T6 Scottish island hopping. Loved it, but after 10 days found it a little on the neat side for 2 plus a GSD.

Next hire was a Citroen relay. Permanent high top. It just worked.

No one waves at you though.
