Looks like I did mine last week, not that funny, ended up trapped on the bed with the misses locked out of the house.
A neighbor managed to get the key out of the lock, ambulance girls ended up giving me morphine , intravenous paracetamol and gas and air.
Managed to get me up on a stretcher and in a safe position.
Hip was completely in spasm, can walk a little now but still getting pins and needles across my thigh and into my knee, just waiting to see a physiotherapist.
Anyone been through this, not sure if I should give it light use or just rest the thing?
Guessing it’s going to be a good few weeks of recovery.
Strain? Seems a little severe for strain. Popped mine a couple of years ago. Very painful. I seem to remember that it took a few weeks and was a very gradual recovery. Don't try and do too much or you will set yourself right back.
middle child did his playing rugby just over a week ago, he literally couldn't stand and was howling in pain. I had to drive onto pitch and lift him into back seat of the car after paramedic assessed he hadn't broken anything.
After physio assessment he is now doing some leg raises and a couple of other exercises. He was able to do some gentle cycling yesterday. Physio advice was if it hurts while doing the exercise but stops when you stop then you are ok to keep going. If the pain gets worse or continues after you stop then you are doing harm and should stop.
Personally I would wait and see the physio before doing anything, this advice was after a detailed assessment of the extent of the injury
