Why, have you done really well and want to show off? 🙄

I went to one about 5-6 years back. Had a really good time actually, but it helped that I went with some friends I'd stayed in touch with and not just turned up "cold".

I expect this thread will be filled with naysayers, horrified at the very concept. But then that'll be because most of the STW userbase seem to have been jimmy-nae-mates at school.

Ours was done via Facebook. SO even if you don't know many people, their friends can find out etc. etc.

GO for it. Ours was a fairly decent turnout/social affair.

No @ b.r funnily enough id just like to see old friends and see where theyre at in their lives, fb allways seems good but never really takes off, its bin tried before by another lad at my old school but died on its arse, like the class clowns, did they ever amount to anything or did the keen beanz end up going uni and getting sucessful high power jobs, just curious and think it would be good, glad to see some good points and ones that went smoothly however our school.was a "rough" one and parents of other kids wouldent let us "play out together" lol

No idea but thanks to the wonders of Facebook about 90% of everyone I went to school with still lives within 10 miles of the school...about 10% of them have done better than we 'thought' and most aren't any better/worse than me...

Saying that, I was a no-one at school and a no-one now so I've never been asked to any kind of reunion...I'm not expecting an invite to my funeral either to be honest!

I abandoned this idea after getting the impression that the girl I most fancied when I was 11 had got fed up with me after all my 'net research, facebook, twitter, email, and myspace posts on her sites failed to get a response.

Christ alive, no.

I had no desire to see anyone from my school, it was bad enough first time round. Then later, I realised that everyone would be fat and bald, which would be frightening, so I'm doubly glad I didn't go.

Thing is when you leave school, some of the children dont grow up, so why would you ever want to meet them again, and the 16 year old teenager you had a crush on is now totally diferent after she has had 3 kids, and a few boyfreinds, who is usually standing nearby when you regale her with comments about how you used to fancy her and her mates.

Just to fill curiosity really and to see where people are at, heard one lad has made it as a dj and producer, so would like to just see how it panned out and what paths people took, i were a "other" school shagger lol it was more of a challange snapping up rival lads gfs from the enemy : ) was a bad idea at rugby matches though as one shouted my name instead of her fellas, studs to the face was my reward, how was i to know she had a fella eh!!! Lol

Christ no. Why would I want to meet people I waited five years to see the back of?

There was a reason I moved away.

I stand by that to this day.

I would feel woefully inadequate. Not because I have done badly in life, I just went to school with someone who is a world record holding muliple olympic gold medalist. In cycling. FFS.

I know it was a long time ago since I left school [1976] but I can't remember more than 2 people from that last year.

Didn't go to high school either, so can't have a 'high school reunion' 😉

School reunions fill me with dread. So many people I don't want to see again. Worse than that though is realising what a little twit I was at school and how many people I p*ssed off. I always feel I should go along when invited just to say sorry to them (along the lines of "My name is Earl") but shame and guilt always put paid to actually having the courage to do that.

Sorry that was a bit heavy!

I left school on 86 and kept in touch with only a couple of people.

There was a reunion that I didn't attend in 2000 and then another 4 years ago which I did go to and had a good time. Over 20 people and one chap turned up without knowing it was happening, his face was a picture when he saw all is old school mates in the same place.

Then 2 years ago we had another but only 5 people turned up, it's a 100 mile drive for me! Best one as as it was people that actually got on at school and keep in touch to this day.

So glad I moved from Milton Keynes.

As others have said some people you never liked and 20 years won't change that fact!

I still keep in touch with a few friends from school anyway.

To keep up with the progress of the rest of them, I get my mum to bring me the local paper when she comes to see me, so I can keep track on who's been sent down, for how long, and for what.

I also have a mother who buys the local paper and informs me who's been sent to jail, who turned out to be a bit Saville, and who's doing better than me (and how I could have done that too had I just went to university)

Use Facebook to stalk them instead, the perfect judgement tool where you can decide how much of a **** someone has become just from their profile picture.

Hated school, hated a large portion of people there. I think that I'm friends with ten people from school on facebook, wouldn't be paid to go back. I too went to a rough school, two years back three lads from my year were sentenced to 20 years each for murder.
