My seven year old nephew was pondering the existence of Santa this evening....
Quite a difficult conversation. He's savvy enough to check what's going on is BS, but I'm not allowed to tell him he's right (because my sister has spent the last month dicking about with elf on the shelf/toilet/in the cupboard/tree....)
Told him some people believe in gods, others believe in fairies. He should trust his feelings, but be respectful of others beliefs....
My girls are 14 and 16. This is the first year any of us are allowed to not pretend to my wife that we believe...
