I just hope doesn't try to top up his income by popping-up on more programs I actually watch as he makes my skin crawl!

On air, the presenter often refers to her as "The Female".

Heh. Quite amusing this.

Mostly because he's being deliberately sexist and knows that "what some bloke on the telly (that we could just ignore if we chose to) said" makes many many over-sensitive, easily-offended people massively angry and outraged.

Your right playing the role of a misogynistic antiquated old fuddy duddy weirdo stuck in the past is hilarious. I cant think why he is voted off popularity shows as who does not think being sexist is funny?

Have you seen the way those white minstrels do the same but they use black folk to get a reaction - check it out it is hilarious.

Inserts some outrageous comment about the posters aboves views then implores him to not respond or ignore me knowing he will be chortling at my wit

The veteran presenter claimed Channel 4 had cited "audience research" as the reason for his departure.

Well if a TV presenter isn't liked by his audience, that does seem a pretty good reason to put him out to pasture.

I believe that is precisely what is happening... His employer is "ignoring" him on our collective behalves.

(By any chance did you think John Terry was hard done by too??)

Now if I were a horse racing pundit on the TV with the ability to talk up or down any particular nags chances and also had the ear of a big proportion of the stables, I'd be more worried about the possible effect on my Betfair account than my salary.

If I were a TV executive, I'd be worried about the above and try to figure out who'd be most likely to .... oh yeah, and the ratings 😉

Maybe they sacked him pre-emptively before anything comes out in the Saville enquiry.. wonder what the odds are at the bookies..?

Outdated.
Even the first time he appeared on TV he was outdated.

Yes you can definitely tell he is dodgy just by looking at him. Here is another one

Its not what he looks like, it how he behaves, and in fact the human animal has well developed instincts for spotting a wrongun that kick in immediately on first meeting. Self preservation don't you know.

Any way its a cigar thing [img] [/img]

I mean would you trust your foal with this man?

He's probably not going because he's old as such, it's more that what he does is old. Obviously the two are related, but his schtick is from 20 years ago.

but his schtick is from 20 years ago.

I'm a child of 60's / 70's and I have to tell you he would have been a twunt then too. He's just not got the persona that makes for being an attractive personality. His good fortune is to have been involved in a sport where his message has been of more interest than his persona....but barely and it now looks like the scales have tipped against him.
