My lad is now so close to school it's almost not worth getting the bike out for the journey. I'm also not happy to leave his bike in the school shed so we decided that a scooter is needed.
I'd prefer a two wheeler for the balance side of it (he's been riding a bike since 3yo without ever needing stabalizers) so what's good and will last a few years of abuse.
Budget is up to £40 so not a super posh one!

They all seem to have micro scooter at my boys school.
J D Bug, prices start at around £40 for a basic one which is what my two girls have (7 and 5 yo)right up to £80+ for stunt scooters.
They really are well built and i reckon would easily outlast a cheap £15 supermarket jobbie 3 or 4 times.
JD Bug? OK, off to eBay to get educated!
