i have a bolt/nut that i need to find some more of, its m5 with cross head. basically in skateboarding its this..
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_bolt
but ive tried every variant of name from wikipedia on ebay and i can find them with allen but not cross heads. they also seem to be longer with allen heads, my nut is 10mm total length.
anyone got a clue what i'm talking about?
yes it's a shatners bassoon
well the clickbait title got me.
Cabinet connectors. Maybe links work:
Inter screw?
Usually listed under furniture screws/bolts/ etc
Doesn't wiki give the answer on your link??
""Barrel bolt" redirects here. For the type of latch called a barrel bolt, see Latch (hardware)."
"Sleeve nut"
ive tried the wiki names but as i say they are allen bolts.
the screwfix link is close, but recess heads are what i need.
its driving me crazy, i thought it was top hat bolts but thats no joy either.
Mating bolt/screw?
furniture ones start at M6.

Where are they on a skateboard??
Weren't sex bolts fancy bolts that went through the deck and held the trucks on?
Long slow screw against a wall?

Mine always just had normal bolts. My boards were sex free.

Ah, for grind rails and kick plates. I've done a google "Skateboard Parts Sex bolts" and seen now - here: http://freestylekb.com/wiki/index.php?title=Sex_Bolts

Chicago Screws seems to be another name.
Long slow screw against a wall?
Is that a cocktail?
yes dezB, thats the thing, just got to find the right size now.
sex bolts was the name used by powell peralta in the 80s for the fixings that came with rib, tail and nose bones. hence you search sex bolts and you get overpriced skate branded stuff. i need them for one of my screenprint squeegees, the old ones have rusted and i need to drill them out the handle so i can replace the squeegee bit. not that exciting i'm afraid, though i suppose the Ts i'm working on are pretty cool as i need a hard fresh edge to get the detail.
thanks guys
I think it's called an incel screw, but I may be mistaken.
