Sorted - I did quite liked the option to say never voted for tories and never will...
Not sure how a hybrid driving petrolhead who likes cycling fits into the target audience but what the hell.

could have done with some proof-reading. And seemed more like a poll by a guy down the pub than a rational survey.

That was fun. I could answer honestly, and still completely bugger up his results 😎

I may have shared it on a couple of cycling FB groups

I made use of the comments section to point out I'd never forgive them for Brexit, should cause some additional frothing.

Cox appears to be perhaps alarmed by the amount of response from cyclists. I suspect that's why the survey has ended.

Shame he closed it, I was just going to have another shot.

Is he all there is of fair fuel UK or does he have friends?

Er, one at least. That walloper Quentin Wilson. Yeah, him with the comb over and pleather bomber jacket who used to present TopGear. I'd never by a BEV off that spiv.

Thay have a website at FairFuelUK.com.

"FairFuelUK is managed by popular TV Motoring Journalist Quentin Willson and the Campaign's Founder Howard Cox.

Funding is through support from key founding backers the FTA, RHA and regular donations from supporters. Please give as much as you can. Previous backers have included the RAC, Association of Pallet Networks, UKLPG and others".

Not sure about his tweet. I filled it in as a Tory voting motorist who supports cycle lanes, extra tax and EVs. The plan was to mess it up right 🙂

Sadly, when I tried it said the survey had been withdrawn! Shame, I’d have liked to have modified this particular bit:

“UNELECTED SPECIAL ADVISORS IN NO 10 ARE INFLUENCING THE ROLL OUT OF CYCLE LANES bit of a mess THAT IS BREXIT”

Ok, anyone like to guess what word was replaced by ‘bit of a mess’? 🤣

Unfortunately missed the chance to participate, I do however have a short survey of my own for Mr Cock:

A: Have you ever had a job collecting refuse on Wimbledon Common?
B: Do you have an uncle named after a country in the Balkans?

According Mr Cox 10% of survey was completed by cyclists. But if the other 90% have hate towards cyclists and cyclelanes, that will be what gets presented from the survey. Probably need a counter survey set up by a cycling group

Great effort by the OP.

It worked for me just now. Is he putting it out again and scrapping the last one to get rid of the cyclists replies? Everyone do it again?

I filled it I honestly - primary transport is LGV. So I go down as a cycling supporting motorist. So not in his 10%

Done. As a daily Transit van driver due to being in the building game I’d love you all to be on bikes in segregated cycle lanes. Bloody Guardian reading builders, who knew!

And I would like all van drivers to be in segregated van driving lanes but there you go.

On this extremely bleak Friday you wonderful people have brought some much needed levity. I'd buy you all a pint, well done.

I love this tweet

https://twitter.com/HowardCCox/status/1337021212204130307?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1337021212204130307%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fsingletrackworld.com%2Fforum%2Ftopic%2Fhelp-to-bugger-up-fair-fuel-uks-annual-cycling-hate-survey%2F

He seems to think that ‘cyclists’ don’t also drive, or that the survey has attracted more ‘cyclists’ than the ‘proportion who cycle’ 🤣

They must be happy with the survey that they’re welcome to complete

Passive-aggression noted.

I am up to about 10 completed surveys. I'm now making it les obvious that I am a cyclist and more like I am their target Brexity Daily Mail reading, HGV driving angry victim, but with the twist that I fully support cycling and sustainable travel. I'm enjoying this more than I should.

I filled it in, but I'm tempted to ask "What's the point".

Its not like this gammony fool is going to do anything with the survey data if it doesn't point in the direction of his biases

That's what I've been doing, completing it as a driver only, and excitedly commenting how once we're free of the shackles of Europe the Government can ban school Mum run drivers, the lazy etc from driving, put up road tax (obvs. calling it road tax too) leaving the road free for us hardworking tax payers WHO MUST DRIVE. The rest of them should get on their bike.

I replied to his tweet. Popular as it has been, given that I seem to be the third person to do so.

Done, avoided the urge to go full ranting lefty, tempting as it was.

Went for 'sensible middle class driver who needs his car for transport but wants to ride safely with his kids and may be persuaded to vote Tory if they had a long term vision for sustainable transport.'

I suspect that will throw their results far more than any 'CARS R COFFINZ" style rant.

Also took great plasure in pointing out that in terms of the prices of goods, the impending costs of Brexit will make any reduction in fuel duty a rather pointless drop in the bucket so why bother?

Kind of missing the point when I’m not in my van I’m on my bike and would like to be segregated off. Hurray it’s Friday anyway.

Done.

Utterly pointless and I couldn't even answer some of the non-cycle related questions accurately or honestly.

Viewing it in the fairest light possible, it presumes a degree of open-mindedness, possession of facts and 'seeing it both ways' on the part of the great British driver. So doomed to fail basically.

now how long until he tweets again asking all the nasty cyclists to stop picking on him......
