One of our colleagues turns 50 and we have bought his present giving forward as we have found out he's on holiday

So by tomorrow we need to find a 50th present for around £50.

He likes cycling (but his P7 barely ever sees mud!), so people have asked if i can suggest and source a gift this evening/tomorrow morning

Any ideas gratefully received!

[s]Give him your turbo trainer now you have tried it 😈

Panniers if they commute?
Rapha top/Team Sky kit or similar overpriced item so they know what it cost???
Do they do their own servicing - tool kit/tools or nice track pump?
Mudguards 😉
Decent lock?
Bike books [/s]

SUBSCRIPTION TO STW- blame someone else for that one

If you go for the whisky/tumbler idea - JL in city centre will have a good range & then bob into the Asda by ring road for the Whisky - they've got loads of good offers on at the moment.

I dont think he is much of a whisky drinker - he likes bubbles, but doesn't seem to have a discerning palate when it comes to wine either.

I think his secretary is looking at cufflinks now . . .

Showroom cinema vouchers? Then he can spend them on seeing films or food.

his wife is just about to produce baby number 3 - they were late to start having children and are now making up for it

Maybe noise cancelling headphones?!

Agreed not cufflinks, unless you know he's got a penchant for them!

Socks, lots of them & co-op Cava.

John Lewis got to be worth a peruse if you're near city centre?

Probably immune to baby noises by number 3.
A set of vouchers from those willing offering baby sitting for x many hours?
How about a cycle maintenance course at ReCycle, he'll be wanting to save money.

we are right next to the city hall, so John lewis is our local. He is a solicitor, so yes does use cufflinks

Personally having seen him ride past nonnas in the summer whilst i was having a drink - i think he needs shorts that are less see through more than cufflinks 8-|
