WiFi works seamlessly with my PC, wife's iMac, various ipods/phones and a panasonic TV. However, when I try and connect my Motorola Defy, the system will crash. Often the only way back is to power down the router, although sometimes it recovers of it's own accord.
The system is a fibre-optic to the house then a zyxel NBG4604 router. (Comedy aside - you'd never give anything in the UK the code NBG !)
Any help gratefully received as messing about with router settings isn't helping.
Thanks
my phone did that and i was advised to contact orange to get them to send out different settings to the phone. I changed my phone before i got a chance to sort it (i had questioned why it did it when i was upgrading my phone).
My wife had similar problems with her old phone. The solution was to change the channel number in the router settings. Google which channel is best for your particular phone.
Would be worth checking your phone doesn't have a static IP set on it's wireless NIC somewhere.
Also making sure the phone supports the wifi security type and that the channel is setup correctly would help.
If you need to see what other networks are around so you can pick a free channel then use this tool:

Try and get at least a 3 channel seperation from the surrounding networks.
Thanks.
Trying channel 1, looking promising.
Hi Flap Jack,
I have a similar issue with a different router strangely enough. Can you confirm if this resolved your issue?
