Movie scene popped into my head. Normally I'm pretty good at figuring them out but this one has me baffled so I need your help.
I think it's 80s
I think it may have something to do with Local Hero, be it style, music, or an actor in common. I'm going to feel silly if it is actually from there.
Scene:- A man, who I think is American, is driving through Scottish countryside and brakes down. A Scottish female tow truck driver picks him up and their conversation in the cab references time, "in cosmic terms".
What on earth am I thinking of?
‘Shell’ maybe? Main protagonist runs a petrol station with her dad.

Heavenly Pursuits? Tom Conti and miracles. Had a similar vibe to local hero. Although i didn’t remember that scene
