I have memory of a kids programme on the BBC, would have been early 80's. Whenever I describe it to people they think I am mad.
It was studio based, in a slightly futuristic style. The presenter used to drive in on an electric buggy and take a seat in front of a sound desk/tv type thing, the seat slid out from under the desk like a flat drawer, I thought that was very cool.
Ring any bells?
