right this is going to be very difficult,as i barely can remember anything about it.
i remember watching it on tv back in the mid/late 80's whilst in the children's ward (due to asthma) at night.
it was along the lines of the thing/bodysnatchers type of film.
the one overriding thing i can remember about it was this guy who was covered in this slimy stuff (and i think he had been changed/taken over by something also/it's not ghostbusters either).
one of the nurses,when she realizes we were all watching a horror on the tv,turned it off 🙁
i really wish i could remember more than that about the film,but alas i cannot 🙁
it will be a miracle tbh if anyone does point me to it 😆
I recall a 60s US one where goo from meteors takes folk over? NOt it's title tho...

invasion of the body snatchers - the one with donald sutherland and geoff goldbloom? i think when they were being taken over they had stuff all over them, good film anyway
unfortunately it's none of the above (have seen them all).i reckon it's one of those obscure american 80's sci fi/horror films (that you never see on the tv anymore).
There's one I remember from the '60's, that nags at me, because I've never been able to find out what it was called. It was Australian, and the one scene I remember clearly involved a cave with a skull in it, but the skull, when the camera did a sudden close-up on it wasn't human, it had a very elongated cranium. That's all I can remember of it, but it left quite an impression.
If you saw/heard the title would you know if it was one you're thinking of?

Maybe it was an episode of The Twilight Zone ? Some of that was dead scary, and in the sci fi/horror genre.
