I found what appears to be an old boot when descending The Great Stone Chute, coming off Sgurr Alasdair (Cuillin, Skye) at the weekend.

Given that STW generally has at least one resident expert in every possible aspect of life, could someone give any insight as to whether this boot is in fact very old based on the leather and style of boot?

It has a screwed on Vibram sole, which means it was made (or resoled) sometime after 1937.

Just curious 🙂
