We are in France but helpfully left all our pre-purchased Euros at home. What is the best way to pay for things now? Credit or debit, cash machine withdrawl or card transactions, one big hit? Barclays and First Direct/HSBC cards. Merci!

Decent amount of cash out on the best rate card you have.

Debit card, as much cash at once, for cash. Credit card for larger purchases
