[Closed] Help connecting a smoke alarm please , electrical content
Had to rip old smoke alarm off the ceiling and wires came out as well , got 2 red,black,blue,and yellow coming from ceiling and need to connect to terminal on smoke alarm with blue,brown , and white wires . Any electricians in the house please

From what you have there I'd guess you have another alarm linked to this one? If so probably the red blue and yellow 3 core is the link to the other alarm and the red and black are the supply. If this is the case you need to link the two reds and the brown together, the black to the two blues and the yellow to the white cable. Without actually being there this is a best estimate and I'd recommend calling a sparky!
Thanks, yes I have a smoke alarm upstairs as well, have spoken to 3 electricians and they say it us too small a job to come to, will try your wiring thanks
You'll have live/neutral then a three core to the next smoke, which will be live/neutral/link. I'd have a look in the next smoke to see what they've used as the live/neutral/link.
