Ok, just been diagnosed with this heart condition at 38 years young.
Was given a choice of having a device fitted (pacemaker or cardiac resymchronisation device with an internal defibrillator).....opted against as it would effectively end my career as a front line paramedic, have gone for medical management instead so I'm on loads of meds; beta blocker, ACE inhibitor, two types of diuretics and a new med that works like a beta blocker but has less side effects.
Was in hospital for y month while they worked it all out, fitness effectively disappeared.
Anybody else got this or similar and how does it effect your riding? how long did fitness take to return?

Different condition similar medals had a very big impact on my fitness / ability / recovery/ rate of improvement with training .... I think part of that was in my head though and I've had my meds swapped around a bit which seems to help
