As per title really. Desktop PC was running well, so don't fancy doing a new install.
Any recommendations for a decent, robust (and free) cloning program that will give me a copy of my C: drive on a new disk.
Thanks
Clonezilla live CD?
Or EaseUS: http://download.cnet.com/EaseUS-Disk-Copy-Home-Edition/3000-2242_4-10867157.html
have used paragon run from another machine to backup/restore to new drive, this worked well with a faulty drive when I told it to ignore errors ie. it worked..
Reasonable review of options here http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-drive-imaging-program.htm
I use clonezilla put onto a usb stick, is dead useful and works great.
Depending on the make of the new HDD they sometimes provide cloning utilities. e.g. if you use a Western Digital for the new disk then you can use this http://support.wdc.com/product/downloaddetail.asp?swid=119
Ive used minitool drive copy to successfully clone an SSD to another, larger, SSD. Worked a charm.
Have emailed you 🙂
