Does it filter through gaps that don't exist and see round corners?

As it happens I'm just looking to replace my ride on which died last week. I'm just thinking how much time I'd save mowing at 150mph. The article doesn't say if it has a mulch option though so I think I may have to look elsewhere.

Describing this as 'clearly brilliant' is clearly brilliant.

carbon fibre blades, though.  You'd need to spend some time checking very carefully for stones.  Not sure the time savings from ultra high speed mowing (UHSM) would be worth it after that.

Also, how fast does the blade spin?  Usually they're governed at 90mph at the tips, so if you're mowing at 150mph, when the blade's perpendicular to travel, one side is cutting at  240mph, and the other side has the back of the blade travelling into the grass at 60mph, and in the centre of the machine isn't really doing anything useful at all.  You'd either need to go over the same ground more than once to cover the uncut/badly cut side of the stripe, or have a double sided blade which locks perpendicular above 60mph or something.

Or you'd have to have the blade tips spinning at more like 240mph, which means you need to check even more carefully for sticks and stones.  Perhaps a cylinder mower would be more appropriate for UHSM applications?

And then there's the tyres, which don't look well suited for high speed cornering, braking or acceleration on even slightly damp grass.

I'll be sticking with my Izy for now, I think.
