Man taken to court for assaulting a child by takin him by the scruff of the neck and out of his garden...

Has to be some mileage in that one.

The sheriff said it was a sign of the times that he had been charged with assault for an act which would have been the norm a few years ago.

He said: "It strikes me that not so long ago this sort of incident would never have seen the light of day. It would have been viewed as something that happens on occasions. It certainly wouldn't have troubled a court of law"

this - what a waste of money.

See, proof that Scottish trespass laws are clearly inferior to English ones

In England, he would have had a legal right to eject the trespasser!
