Has anyone reclaimed sales tax from things bought from the US?

I've bought something from an online shop in Minnesota. I've paid VAT on it at this end, so I'm guessing that I can reclaim the sales tax from the US? Has anyone done this?

Did you pay tax in the US? Often the US quotes prices without tax. In the US the tax for an online sale depends on where the buyer lives

Sales tax differs from state to state, so ampthill is right, the price quoted is usually pre tax. They then add the relevant amount depending on where it’s being shipped to.
