Harris for me ..the riding is excellent , beaches ..world class, and getting there ..Calmac ferry from Uig on Skye ..

Now all you need is decent weather and a good midge repellent ..

Uist has some nice beaches, Lochmaddy Hotel is the best I've found when i visit for work.ย  The riding would pretty much only be worth keeping to the road though IIRC.

Both are brilliant and great contrasts. Beaches are perfect.

Uist. We'll be there in the summer again. 4th year out of 5.

My in-laws live in Lewis so getting to Harris is easy for us.

Either, it's not a strain getting from one to the other. In fact why not both. Skye to uist, over to Harris, up to stornoway back to Ullapool.

What kind of riding on Harris?

I'm going to be staying there for a couple of weeks in April. Getting away form the city to revise for my exams, going to stay at a wee hostel near Tarbert. Best off taking my CX bike or hardtail?

Could take both actually...?

A full sus wouldn't go amiss for the off road riding ..depends on what you want to do ..take both if you are able ..
