Sports mixtures or Midget Gems for the summer only, in winter they break teeth!

Current favourite is the Pic and Mix that contains Tootie Frooties, Fruit Gums and Fruit Pastilles.

Man until last night I would have been the first one there with the kindling and the matches but they are so tooth rottingly gorgeous you can just feel the chemicals and E numbers kicking in.

Tesco Jelly Babies.

So sweetly sick that I can't eat them except when bonked.

tangfastics work for me but yes, supermarket brand jelly babies can *only* be eaten by normal people when they're so desperate for a quick hit of sugar that they need the most powerful container available.

Natuaral Sweet Company Jelly Squirms

Lovely: sugary yet sour; unhealthy yet virtuous.

This week I will mostly be eating skittles randoms. Haribo ARE good, but when I'm knacked I just don't have the energy for all that rubber chewing. Something that you chew twice and can swallow is the way forward!

Had some excellent sweets while riding today - came in a big bag for 59p from Home Bargains. Sweets are just an assortment (but sugary and taste good). Only reason for buying them was that the shortened tagline on the shelf was "Sweet Ass"

Marks & Spencers "Scary Dinosaurs" or Fruit Gums edge it for me - never got the Haribo thing

randoms are nice I haven't decided it if it beats starmix yet though.

Haven't tried randoms, but I'm a big fan of Morisson's own brand fruit pastilles. Nicer than Rowntrees imo.

Jelly Babies......surely?

The light dusting of stuff on them stops them turning into a congealed lump in the bag and they are nicely soft & easy to chew on the go. Mmmmm.

Taste better if you bite the heads off first.

stumpy agree - agree

BigJohn - can you really just buy the red and black ones? If so, it might tempt back to old blighty!

Nicko- you only chew skittles twice before swallowing!?! By that point they're a spikey sharp mess, they need at least twice the chewing of a haribo to become swallowable, haribo can be swallowed whole if needed due to their soft rubbery nature!

Haribo make my teeth ache though, no other sweet does, no other sugary concoction does, but haribo actually make my teeth "sing" with high pitched pain!

Fair point about the skittles. But with Haribo starmix, you could actually be there chewing all day; at some point you just get bored and swallow it, hoping that you don't choke.
Kiddie Supermix is good for biking though - it actually contains more sugar than it weighs, and in generally very accessible form.

I had some of those Randoms recently and felt my spirit become more crushed with each homogenous sickly mouthful. They are a cynical exercise in joyless wackiness and market share invasion. I can even imagine the meeting where a bunch of ad executives thought them up.
