Have they closed the border? They're not going to be firing home-made missiles into East Lancs, Gaza Strip stylee are they? Tonights ride is straying dangerously close to the border

Any-road-up.....

Rogerthecat, i too conduct charity work in South Wales, bless em, but currently in Libya working so no half price Ale tonight especially in Ramadan. 🙁

M F thanks for that shot, spent some time as a kid around there as we had a caravan downstream from there.

Yorkshire Airlines not far from the truth if you apply it to Allitalia, shocking.

IHN, envy terrible illness pal, you are now PNG from Gods own back yard. 😉

Houns ensure you have your passport mate, dont want any unauthorised crossing of the border.

Best to all

I'll think you'll find that the west side of the Pennines is God's back yard. The east side is more like the outside privy 🙂

Happy Yorkshire Day to everyone*

I came this ---> <--- close to being born in Teesside. I'd like to thank my mother for holding me in until the boarder was crossed all those years ago - giving a child a proper start in life is so important.

* At least everyone who comes from a proper, Yorkshire county, commiserations to the rest.

MrsBouys family have two farms just outside That Harrogate (dontchknow)
I'm an interloper at best and supported of the county but really I'm a fake, I do like Black Sheep Beer mind and them Moors are hard going sometimes on the bike & Stainburn Forest is over the hill from the Farms, bargain..
Pately Bridge has a really quaint Old Sweet Shop(pe) that sells extra salty liquorice which, like MrsBouy, puts hairs on "yer" chest.

Knaresborough used to have the oldest sweet shop in England. It's now a barber’s shop.

It still has the oldest chemists’ shop.

Good spot JohnClimber, and my apologies, I mistakenly found an East Riding rose, being from the West Riding I'm even more ashamed.
