got to replace some in our house. still got the packet from last time, which says R7S base, 150W, 118mm.

im looking at this site but im a bit confused by the sizes.

are 117mm the same as 118? and 78 the same as 79mm? i cant really see that theyd make them different my 1mm, so is it just in the make, and theyre basically the same thing?

i reckon my lights say that 150W is the maximum, but ive got a choice of 117mm at 100W. or 118mm at 150W. i take it the 100W will be cheaper to run, but im just not sure about that 117/118mm thing :-/

cheers

I've got 75mm fittings, and run 78mm bulbs. Take your bulb out at home and see if you have some play on the fitting itself - mine are sprung so can do ~5mm either side
