Did anyone else see this last night? It was so bad it was pretty enjoyable. However, I have absolutely no clue what was going on. I may try watching it drunk or something...

I saw it a while back and enjoyed it a lot. I was expecting it to be awful, from what I'd heard.

Terrible film. Great photography, lighting and that, but a truly dire end product. None of the humour or humanity of Snatch or Lock Stock; it was just a pile of overindulgent pap, imo, riding on the back of the other two fairly decent films. A waste of the talents of many involved, and a glaring example of the limit of talent of Guy Ritchie as a film maker. One (ok, 2) trick pony.

Jason Statham is terrible. He can't do an American accent (see 'transformer), and neither, it seems, can he do a 'real' English one. Has one expression, and absolutely no depth to his 'acting'.

Just a load of angry people running around swearing and shooting each other. Big deal. And as for the 'internal angst' bits, well, just utterly boring. So what? I'm not bothered about what's in your head mate, I want to see what's happening with the 'story'. The deliberately disjointed style that Ritchie has used very effectively before just doesn't work here. Just makes it a mess.

Rubbish really. I hoped for some sort of redeeming quality to emerge, but no, it failed to deliver anything of any real note.

Transformer - I guess you mean Transporter? First one was ok, second one a bit guff, Crank was a good laugh and The Mechanic was predicatble and too short. Revolver was cr*p though.

It was so bad I had to keep referring to Wiki to work out why he was arguing with himself.

Who knew Guy Ritchie could even spell "ego"?

😆

That's how bad it was; couldn't even remember it's proper title!

Ahh yes, Lock Stock - Goodfellas meets the Double Deckers.

Lock Stock may not have been a brilliant film, but it was at least a refreshing change from the usual Period Drama tosh that seemed to be churned out by The British Film Industry. I think Snatch is better, if for nothing other than the performances of Alan Ford (Brick Top) and Benicio Del Toro. No, actually it was quite a good film I thought.

Also cought LA Confidential last night. This was sposed to be some top-notch bit of cinema, or so I'd heard and read. Best thing in it was that bloke what used to be in 'Neighbours'. 🙄

At least (I hope) you didn't waste any of your lives trying to watch An American Haunting. That truly was shite. I quite enjoyed most of Revolver, but agree with much of the above too...
