We have an old accoustic with a very high action. Where can we take it to get sorted?
Think there is a wee Luthier man nr mine next to the Spylaw Tav.
Any good? http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&safe=off&client=safari&rls=en&q=spylaw+street&gs_upl=4917l7083l0l7373l12l7l0l5l5l3l297l1558l0.2.5l11l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.,cf.osb&biw=1280&bih=617&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x4887c6b8863079f7:0x27aca1db10819303,Spylaw+St,+EH13+0JT&gl=uk&ei=AvUNT6HvK-bb4QTYv92mBg&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CB0Q8gEwAA think his name is Brian Rattray.
p.s. any chance of getting your man to equip us with some of that homebrew?
Think he takes clean brown bottles as part payment. I'll ask if he has an excess.
Yer a Gentleman and a Scholar.
Got letters after my name and everyfink. Plus many cravats.
Wolf Guitars, if they are still about, did superb work on my guitar when I dropped it before a gig (didn't repair it for that night as the damage was rather serious... snapped the headstock off). If they are still about find em and use em! I got mine done through a wee guitar shop off the Royal Mile but I can't remember if it was a Sound Control or something???
Or head to Glasgow and get Jimmy Moon on the case - the man is a legend (used him for another guitar repair back in the day)
