I've had a lot of fun tonight. Didn't see any crew there though.

The wave missions are excellent. I did one with two others in a warehouse place. Really enjoyed working together as a team on that.

Someone put a bounty in this chap and I was just stealing a helicopter at the time so I flew over and the bugger was waiting for me, clipped me and nicked my helicopter! I spent about twenty minutes trying to catch him. It was hilarious 😉

Just did the hipster rampage. Pure genius.

Kicked by other players during a team deathmatch? For what? Was just running round killing people and getting killed. What's the story? 😡

Wilko disconnections show up as kicks I've been suffering at the weekend from that. Didn't get on tonight as Mrs has been watching her crap TV.

Talking of being kicked, I killed another player and nicked his car tonight and he respawned round the corner so I drove round to run him over but instead got "kicked" out just before I was about to hit him and he shoguns me.. Guess he was quick enough to change his car access settings from <everyone> fair play! I'd never have pulled that off.

Had no idea you could simply change the settings when someone is using your car, should save chasing folk around trying to steal it back in future.

Yeah happened to me in the first few days. It would be better if you couldn't block people taking it, the game is called Grand Theft Auto after all and you can fit an ignition bomb.

On the profile page before doing missions I can see my character stats and my character along with a sad looking brown face with a number next to it. What's that? I assumed it was my indicator of being a bad sport but I just got an award for being a good one.

I've managed to lose my bluetooth headset btw, which is bloody frustrating. I'm not being rude, everyone.

It's in the room somewhere as I could hear myself talking the other night from your mic.

I'd tried to connect my logitech boombox as a handsfree but it didn't seem to work at all. No-one could hear me it seemed, but I left it connected anyway. I could only hear a few spurts and noises from it too.

ha ha.. Molgrips, what were you thinking? just get a new cheap headset, mine was £8 from ADSA and although obviously not amazing, it does it's job just fine without causing all sorts of annoying feedback etc..
if the old one turns up, you'll have a spare or use it for your phone.

finally bought myself a garage next to the skate park lastnight (at the ripe old age of L30) and a BMX to sit next to my whip 😉 is there actually any point/benefit in buying a house?

Also, I never seem to get any more than about $100,000 before I blow it on shite and tend to spray about 10k of ammo every hour or so.
any tips for making quick money? racing is my main income (I'm fairly decent at it so can make quite a lot fairly quickly but I don't really want to spend hours grinding) selling a SUV every 45mins seems the only other quick(ish) way.

Why, when you're constantly told to bank your cash can't you rob other players (or be robbed) of decent amounts of money?

I got the garage, It's worth having two cars, for different classes of racing.

I'm struggling to like GTA online. no one is ever up for doing the missions, it's boring IMO

the single player is superb though.

I'm up for missions.

Problem is Drac is the crew member who's always on, and he just likes running around killing people in free play 🙂

Had plenty 8 player races and 4 player survival matches with randoms, never bothered using my own car, there's always more than one to choose from that's more than good enough to win with.

Route 68 might be my favourite race so far, because of the number of comedy accidents caused by outrageous speed. And the plane one around the wind turbines, that's a laugh.

I will be on every monday and wednesday evening again as soon as I get my PS3/controllers sorted.

Went through few survival missions, earned x$$$$x bought a flat. Allmost middle class.

Player tried to rob me, he didn't realise I inherited -asta la vista- machine gun from previous mission. He wasnt pleased with his greedy decision. Whip of righteousness was served on him, and his fancy racing bike.

Spectated guy bmx-ing jumps, he didnt like my presence and shot me. I only wanted to see his whips, so machine gunned him and sank his bike in the sea.

Genuine q: does playing this online eat data allowance? (only 10gb until end of the month when it switches to unlt'd).

I'm up for missions done a few now but this last week as my connection has been unstable. I'll be on later in the week as I'm days although that said I may be on tonight as office boy tomorrow.

According to my email during last nights state of insomnia I ordered COD: Ghosts so will be player that too. Found the order email this am before I went to work 😳

Gaming can use a surprising amount of bandwidth so I'd keep an eye on it.

Anyone wanting to earn good money quick, get into an 8 player race down the drain, 9.5k for a win and you'll level up after 3 wins.. It's a short lap (not much more than a minute) and a fast circuit with plenty of carnage due to the 2 hairpins and narrow gaps between the concrete supports. If you're any good at racing bet, I walked away with 15k for 3min racing last night. 😀

Betting is good way to win I won a nice lump in one of the races, the other 2 guys lost a fair bit.

Think I'm about 25wins to 50 races, full bars on the racing status, if I'm not spun off by another player or playing half asleep I'll generally win. Tactics and patience come into busy multi player races

I have a nice 1 bedroom apt in the nice area of town with a 6 car garage <ohh get me>. Best bit is the free beer that you can drink whenever you want - although the showering whilst wearing a bikini is bizarre!

6 car Garage? 10 is where it's at these days.

Yeah and pimp cars out with armour, roll cages, bullet proof tyres then when your in freemode people can't slow you down or kill you so easily.

The racing I always start off well then crash or take wrong turning which mean I'm often last.

I'll not be on tonight as I wrecked and back at work tomorrow at 7am.

Thing is I'd sit for ages in the 'lobby' and it just wouldn't find any other players, or none who wanted to play with me anyway!

Was mucking around in the airport today, ended up with 6 stars and way too many helicopters. Tried to get in a few of the jumbos, but they don't appear playable. Anyone know anything different?

Sorry bails, I've only eve started a race on my own once (same reason as you) got no winnings and the only XP I received was for fastest lap (kinda easy with no rivals).. Maybe it's changed since/or before..

The stairs aren't hooked up to the jumbos for me, maybe once you've levelled up? Who knows.

Anyone help me find an aircraft / heli with firepower? I don't even know how to get into the military base.

to get in a jumbo, stand underneath it, and press the button you use to get in and out of other vehicles

If you drive up onto the hills behind the military base you can find some higher ridges to drive off and you clear the fence.

Not sure at what level - but there is a large runway 2/3rd up on the map. For be there is a large prop plane and standing beside it is a heli with guns (both of which you can borrow).

Only carnage I managed was self inflicted, blew myself up twice while racing you marco and pretty much lost my bearings in deathmatch while you singlehandedly got through all 9 levels, I really shouldn't bother doing missions at all when I'm knackered. 😉

The survivor was good - 1 person on each flank and someone with a decent gun in the centre to get the easy kills = a simple way to get lots of points and £20K!

I'm on my last shift for a week, except Sunday overtime, so I'll fix the points difference. If I don't get distracted by Call of Duty. Might buy supercar with my £500k or save up for a combat heli.

Survivor didn't get off to a great start for me, I'm a one gun type of guy even in FPS and when I chose assault rifle (all I've ever used) realised I had no ammo.. Queue lots of fumbling around trying random weapons (many for the first time) and failing miserably, I even bazooka'd a lone harmless goon at one point. I'm pretty crap at choosing a good place to camp too and generally just rely on being a quicker draw but when tired I can't cope with following the radar too well so that strategy goes wrong fairly quickly..
In any bream based game I Basically need looking after but just treat me as cannon fodder rather than risk your own life to bail me out 😉

oh and jumbos are nickable in single player, scroll back through the thread for a pic. Great fun to fly around, they feel suitably jumboid.

what's a brake based game? Only ever played "Hope fade roulette" in the 90s on the DH bike 😉

For Knocking motorcyclists off, A car definitely helps 😉 otherwise it's T-bone, sideswipe or shunt into an immovable object time 😉

Offroad race, 'Grass Route' - I was in a dune buggy he was on a sanchez, there's a few bridges towards the end of the race, bided my time and gave a nudge as we approached the last one to send him wrong side of the guardrail into rocky dooooooom. And an explosion of f-bombs.

Almost Exactly that ^^ happened to me against a L60ish dude. I wasn't paying attention and thought it was a bikes only race and he started with a fully pimped off road beetle, I led the entire race and dodged multiple take out attempts only to get taken out on the last bridge.. I'm no winey American though so just laughed 😉

Talking of winers tho, does hitting "dislike" after a mission/race actually change anything, or is it just to show other players your vote?

I always just hit "like" when the option comes up as it moves onto the next screen as soon as everyone has voted and I'm impatient.

Yeah the buggys/injections always make up ground in the last stretch on that race, as long as you're not too far behind!

The vote is for Rockstar, if a mission proves unpopular they'll remove it. Well so they claim.

Trevor showed me yesterday why he should be my fave character. Switched to him on single player, and it loads showing a bridge. But no Trevor to be seen. An arm grabs on to the railing and up pops Trevor. Just in a pair of y fronts! He says quickly, hmm no clothes, no car.... ahhh no problem! And starts to strut off. Quality, except he was drunk/drugged for the next fee mins making driving interesting!

So far Molgrips in my experience is hardest to beat at races.

Was invited by random player for a motorbike ride into his posh flat. Looked around it, got drunk and run away from him. Must have liked my female character, pervert.

Blew off my 500K on car upgrades, didnt buy any property ... my old flat suits me well enough.

I blew my £500k on a supercar too, it's nice to be able to drive your own car in a race

Finally managed to get on survivor missions last night - didn't take the call from Ron when I levelled up and he never called back.

Apologies to yeti_man for being so hopeless - found it a bit of a steep learning curve! Made more money last night than I ever have in a single session

Picked up my Gioteck EX-01 Bluetooth Headset £9 from Asda. It's not very secure, but should be ok for sitting in a chair playing games. Doens't actually go in your ear, but on it, so should be more comfy long term.

The basic car isn't quicker when you buy it - but you can then spend money on it to upgrade engine/ brakes etc. although you need to level up or win races using that class of car to unlock a lot of the upgrades

Plus you can pimp it to your liking

Plus you can drive your new supercar around in freemode

I went for the one that looks like a Lamborghini, I seem to get on best with the handling of that one of all the cars I've tried

I also have a pimped out muscle car (the one that looks like a mustang) as a "daily driver"

It's ok molgrips - everyone gets a supercar to use in a supercar race. You just get the option to use your own if you happen to have one

Not me tonight though - should be on Saturday or Sunday night though.

I was wondering each round how quickly you'd get killed but you certainly got better.

I'm rubbish at racing I always seem to make a mistake or pick the slowest car so I've been doing the survival ones - you need at least 2 people and a decent place to cover each other - then it's not too difficult.
