Every year, I get a bill for 23p - yes 23p - from some outfit in London in lieu of ground rent. Or chief rent. Not sure.
I pay by cheque/post, and they duly cash the cheque. This has happened for the 11 years I've lived here.

Included in the bill is the offer to redeem this for the princely sum of 60 quid, one off payment, done and dusted.
Is it likely that the computer just churns this bill out every year, or is there an advantage in me forking out? There's a lot of 23p's in £60.

you'd have to pay 23p 261 times for it to be over £60 so I'd stick with the 23p every year unless I've missed something...
Although if you include price of postage then it'll be less than that but still more 100 years worth of 23ps + postage for it to add up to £60

@Becky - the maths is self-evident.
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but there's horror stories about some chancer tipping up at my front door and demanding I remove the double glazing unless I pay him a million pounds.
