Binners!
It’s always been a religion to me, my friend.
Can’t see the problem 😀
I was sondering when there would be a thread. It would have been less controversial to have the three wise men bearing steak bakes, sausage rolls and brown sauce.
This has really made me laugh today.
Made me hungry, 3 sausirolls for £2?
Nothing like a bit of controversy to get a bit of free advertising.
No doubt there'll be plenty of people crying it's not the spirit of Christmas, before getting bladdered, xbox for the bairns and watching Harry Potter.
Haha it's funny cos it's Oldham
Only a matter of hours before the Archbishop on Canterbury declares a Jihad.....
Cougar - it wasn’t her
Don’t ask me how I know, I just know
I am Christian and it doesn’t offend me. I am now hungry though. 😀
And so, the three pies men came from the yeast to worship the king of poos.
Most Christians won’t be offended, it’ll be the pressure groups who don’t really represent anyone kicking off.
I think using a pork product to replace a Jewish baby is a little insensitive. Unless they're suggesting that their sausage rolls contain babies, which seems an unlikely advertising ploy, though factually quite possible given the quality of their sausage.
I think it's excellent advertising - fake controversy and no real offence.
I think by protesting they could have made a grave miscalculation. If they’re asking the average UK. Citizen to choose between Christianity or a cheese and onion pasty....
Just sayin’.....
Read somewhere earlier: "its fine because Sausage is Jesus backwards" 🙂
Awesome! 😀

If they had used a Steak Bake that would have been a gravy miscalculation
Genius stuff from Greggs!
I love the supposed 'offence' it has caused, when worshipping a sausage roll is in fact no more ridiculous than worshipping some old bearded man.
I wonder if being used in place of the body of Christ would make sausage rolls suitable for use at mass instead of those wafer things. I imagine it'd get participation up.
As above I am Christian and I was most certainly not offended
This could be a great Christmas game. try to slip a sausage roll into a nativity take a picture and post it on this thread.
I remember the time my dad dropped a dictionary on my mums knitted nativity scene crushing baby Jesus and his crib. however my brother had already swapped Jesus out for a sheep. I am still not sure which of these two actions was the one that made my mum cry.
bruneep- WHERE? WHO? WHY? I demand to know!

Not a great game unless you're Gary glitter.

Have we done the pork based nativity scene?
if only there were some way of finding out while scrolling down a page towards the 'Reply' box 😉
Loads of images are not accessible from where I am, so I apologise for not seeing it.
Faced with the choice of aligning myself with a right wing pressure group's faux outrage or a mild chuckle, I opted for the mild chuckle.
Have any of these mental pressure groups seen the Spanish tradition of putting a statue of someone curling one out in the corner of their nativities?
I bet Jesus hates that.
Read somewhere earlier: "its fine because Sausage is Jesus backwards"
It's even better than that!
"Lord Jesus" = "Susejd Rol"
It was meant to be.
