I have a date for my hip op..... my year off bikes may come to an end sometime in the future, hopefully. Fingers are crossed and I'm trying not to think about the fact that my other hip hurts too......

Femeroacetabular impingement, is not only hard to spell but also very very annoying and debillitating.

Congrats - I'm assuming from this cycling is OK after a hip op?

My father in law used to be a keen runner but had to have a hip replacement and now can't run - not sure if this is the same but he is going stir crazy not being able to exercise.

Your other hip is probably hurting because you've been putting all your weight on that side...

Thats what I keep saying to myself. The dr reckons I should be back riding after op... 'm not sure myself but trying to be hopful. It was a bit of a shock being told I needed this op or I'd need a hip replacement before I was 40...
