When I was a teenager, I decided to save money by making my own isotonic drink. So, one day after a long, hot summer ride, I filled a pint glass with water, added a dash of orange squash, 8 spoonfuls of sugar, a teaspoon of salt. Downed it in one.
If you've ever drank a yard of ale, then imagine all that swallowing happening in reverse. Fifty times. Over the next 10 minutes. Not recommended.
