Grating "excites" the cheese.

Grating roughens up the cheese molecules and activates the micro surface, just like in the Pantene advert.
If Oakley made cheese.....so much marketing bs!

Yes. Grated, or thinly sliced cheese is bliss.

Blocks of cheese. Yuk.

For all these years I thought it was just me. Interesting to learn otherwise...

Also helps it get up to room temperature, making it tastier.

I read somewhere that chimps eat bananas side on cos they taste better.
Might be bobbins; my experiments (not involving chimps, rather myself noshing nanas) have, thus far, been inconclusive.

I don't think it is. Grated or thinly sliced is not tastier.

However room temperature cheese is, as above.
