We will be in touch
I'm wanting to edit a gpx file that has gone slightly off piste.
I want to keep the time data.
I've got tracklogs, and if I try and edit the track in that, it amends the time data according to naismiths rule (I've tried deleting the naismith rules and that just gives a ride time of 0:00)
Any ideas? Preferably a way that I can drop the gpx file onto a map underlay, and then drag the errant points to where the should be.

Have you tried uploading to one of the online thingies like Bikeroutetoaster, Mapmyride, Ridewithgps etc? It'll be a bit trial and error, but some might preserve the time data.
Everytrail is an online logging site with a map editor that lets you cut (and also move) points.
I suspect mapmyrun/mapmyride, runkeeper and some others let you do this too? (not sure)
Sometimes, I just open up the file in a text editor and cut out offending bits of XML (need to know what to look for though, and seeing the track on a map can help)
Tried everyride and mapmyride so far with no joy.
GPX Editor finally saved the day 🙂
No map, but matched up with another.
