We will be in touch
Remember a couple of weeks ago that M.O.D story about 100,000 Russian troops on maneuvres just over the borders threatening imminent invasion and the like, and how Russian claims of a mere 17,000 troops on a standard exercise just like the ones NATO has were poo-poo'd as lies?
Well, this:

We're mushrooms. Kept in the dark and fed on shit.

Honestly, I do not remember this.
Nope, passed me too.
Fake News?
I find it slightly curious that that Independent story doesn't actually link to any of these many stories about how this was the start of WW3... could they not find any?
Heard about but it's not unusual they do these big exercises now and then as do NATO. I never seen the figures of a 100k though, I'd say that was the media not the MOD.
I heard there were going to be exercises, I never heard any hype about threats.
Official figures from the Russian defence ministry say around 12,700 troops will be deployed in total, including 5,500 Russian personnel and 7,200 Belarussian soldiers. But Nato has said as many as 100,000 troops could be involved.
Looks like The Independent are blaming the MOD for their own fake news.

I referenced this a few weeks ago, the story was originally run by the bloody independent as part of its daily ‘end of the world’ click bait
I predict that rag will be gone in a year
The independent is the clickiest of all the click bait. Lots of the politics/news subreddits on reddit have it flagged as such.
Ah ha. Yes, you're right...
But Nato has said as many as 100,000 troops could be involved.
And failure to cite source.

Edit. Repetition.
You can say that again.
Oops.
Did they cite a source?
I'd want a far better source of information that The London Novaya Gazeta for any story regarding Russia and its military actions and intentions.
