We've got a sports car wheel clock that our son doesn't want and we'd like to give it to the little boy next door, who will be thrilled. The trouble is that the battery-powered clock thingy is broken (unusual as they seem to go on for years) and a new one is about £7.50, which is too much for just reviving an old toy. Has anybody got an old wall clock they don't want and could they send me the action for beer tokens? Don't send the whole clock though!

Important: they come with the spindle in three lengths and this is the longest at around 14mm for the threaded brass bit.

I concur - splash the cash tightwad. Why should we parcel stuff up and run to the post office for your project we have no personal interest in?

Bluddy hell, sorry I asked. Didn't realise you could get them for 99p.
