I have just got a Hero5, my first go pro, and the battery doesn't appear to hold charge. I fully charged it to show 100% on the display and then switched off the gopro but when I switched it on this morning the battery was dead. This happened at the weekend too. The instructions say to switch the camera off, hold the power button for two beeps (which I did) and the displays (front and rear) went blank so I assumed that it was powered off.
Is there something else I should be doing or do I have a faulty camera?
Was the wifi still on? That might run the battery down.
I don't know. It's back on charge so when it has enough juice to power up, I'll check. Thanks for the suggestion.
if its switched off then the wifi still being on shouldn't be an issue. sounds like youve got a duff battery...send it back for a replacement
