Does anyone else get this when first opening chrome? Runs ok and quickly but when opening can take nearly a minute to open.
Tried all the recommendations on t'internet but nothing seems to make any difference.

A DNS issue? Does the same happen with IE or Firefox?

IE seems fine and dont use firefox

Try un-ticking DNS pre-fetch in Options...Under the bonnet.
What are you using as your startup/home page?
