I've been using Chrome for quite a while now but it seems to have really slowed up recently, both my personal laptop and work one have a hard time with Chrome.
Anyone else got this problem?
Which alternative is recommended?

I've been using Chrome since it was first available and was very happy with it. However, there was a spell a few weeks back when it had slowed up really badly and I gave IE9 a try. I was pleasantly surprised.
The Chrome issue seems to have resolved itself, so if you haven't already done so, try updating it.
Personally I prefer Chrome, but some work stuff doens't work on it, and also gets confused about IE9 so now I'm on Firefox. Don't care for FF myself but it's the officially supported one for my company.
Firefox users tend to have a higher IQ than Chrome users. IE users tend to have the least IQ of the lot.* I'm not mentioning Opera or Safari.
