Nazare is bonkers.It looks like a beach break gone mental.Giant shifting peaks,no channel.An apparently random collection of mutant A frame monsters that appear from seemingly nowhere (last swell was <20ft but gets magnified 2-3 times as large by the bathometry) and no hope of rescue on the inside if the worst happens. Something BAD will happen there :0(

Nah. The thing about Mavericks is the cold water and sharp pointy rocks lying just below the surface. I think Jaws and Teahupoo (pronounced cho-poo, I believe) are meant to be bigger and heavier waves. I stand to be corrected, though.

Mikey, true what you say, they are bigger and heavier... but Mav's was where paddle power was born again. Massive ledges like that had never been paddled into before.

Ghost Tree is also pretty big and scary
