Will be in London towards end of October with the family and would like a bit of local knowledge of where I can take the Mrs and tow teenage boys 16 & 13 for good food and reasonable prices. Our hotel is on Prescot Street.

Travelodge by the Minories?

There are a few OKish tourist traps in St Katharine's Docks. Nothing special, but nice location. Zizzi's does a decent pizza.

Failing that, GBK and Wagamama over at Tower Place are decent all rounders as well.

But, with two teenage boys? In that area?

On the south bank path between Tower Bridge and the Globe there's a good choice to keep anyone happy, from pub grub to greek, pizza etc.

Will recommend Bodean's BBQ Restaurant in Byward Street
Its small but always busy and very reasonable too
Just across the road to Tower of London.

Then you can walk it off with a walk around St Katherine's Dock and have a few drinks
at the Dickens Inn

Lahore Kebab House is legendary and deservedly so. Take a walk around Butler's Wharf (not all places there are expensive) and Design Museum (cafe there has great view). A stroll around Borough Market is worthwhile too, lots of foodie options.
