Are so many young players using buggies?
My local mtb trails run through a couple of golf courses and in the last year I've spotted more and more buggies being used, not by elderley or infirm players either.
Shirley the whole idea of any outdoor exercise is to get fit in the fresh air, imo.
I blame Jackass
when i used to play golf and our club got its first buggy at about the same time I was learning to drive it was the funnest thing ever!
* I don't play golf anymore and ride mountain bikes!
Golf ...a good walk ruined
My field archery club is next to a golf course and we find balls all the time. One archer found a golf club once 😯
I have also noticed they all drive buggies ... bit lame. But, some might not be able to walk due to illness or whatever, at least they are outside.
Someimes I like the MTB to the archery as well 🙂 feels great!! Many think i'm nuts.

It is faster. A decent golfer in a buggy can whistle round the course in well under 2 hours assuming others let them play through.
How good an archer are you from the saddle though ?
So with a buggy about 1.30 a shot ? thats not much time to work out club choice ,lie .wind direction etc ? (Says a non golfer)

Tempted though, probably get expelled from the club if I got caught.

Pedal faster then they won't catch you.
(Proper cyclists don't get caught by the authorities).
Golf...
Can I apologise for what has happened across the road from our house. Musselburgh is the cradle of golf, the Worlds Oldest Couse, the first "Open" tournaments were played here, Mary Queen of Scots wore a Pringle Cardie in 1547 ... and its all gone global from then...
