I need to go up on the garage roof to cut away some ivy. Do I need one of those roof ladder thingys?

Dont we need to know if the roof is flat or pitched? What if your garage is a multi-storey?

No way am I lugging that thing up there. I've considered taking it down the local 4X track though.
