Has anyone done this recently?

BT are telling me that I might lose my telephone number as Sky might restrict the access to it, SKY are blaming BT if I dont keep my number?

(I have sky line rental,Sky talk, U/L broadband, sky+ hd)

All in, comes to £50pm.

Just wondering if anyone here has swapped from sky bact to BT 7 did you manage to keep your home number?

Ta.

When we moved house we went from Sky to TalkTalk (Sky said it'd be 8 weeks to move our broadband, TalkTalk said they could set it up in 48 hours), and TalkTalk said "we'll have to give you a new number, is that ok". Which was fine, don't know why that was specifically, but suggested I didn't have a choice.

They probably get more commission as it's a 'new' contract.

When I asked BT, they said its something to do with SKY owning the rights to the number, its up to Sky release it?

Sky do have a portability agreement with BT, but SVBN numbers are not included in it
