As in the title, need a recipe for a children's party this week. Any good ones out there? Need to taste good, too. Nicely.
Try the BBC Good Food site - you can search according to allergies etc.
We've made some in the chalet like this - using either mashed potato(!) or ground almonds in place of flour. They're not bad, but you're never going to say it's the best cake ever. Egg-free doesn't help at all either!
Cakefest,
Afraid we've never had to contend with egg free requirement as well. We generally find that the recipies on the Glutafin website are OK. Getting raw materials might be tricky if you don't have much time.
If you want a quick easy option we've had good experiences with the Morrisons cake mixes (again not sure if they will meet your egg free requirement).
Gluten free and vegan is hard, as you're removing the two things that hold cake together, the gluten and the eggs. I used to live in a coeliac + 2 vegan household, and we didn't manage to make many cakes that worked for everyone - I can make a gf cake easily, or a vegan one.
Maybe fridge cake with some gf biscuits and dark chocolate.
rice crispy cakes....
Son has severe egg allergy......You can use egg substitue powder. Not as good as eggs but makes the cake spongier (sp?)
Is this for one of Michael Jacksons kids
