I'm off to Gisburn this Saturday to tackle the Red Route.

Has anyone got any insight into what a decent time would be?

Cheers

What do you mean decent time,do you mean 9:00 am before the families get there or as in how long it will take you to do it?

If you're purely just doing the red as a speed exercise, anything from around an hour upwards.

Decent for me is anything under 90 minutes, add a bit more if you're planning to do the optional blacks and the hope line.

My best is 1 hour 19 mins,I haven't tried to improve on that since but I'm sure there are a few that have done it faster, like I said in my first reply it's usually better to go early to avoid the families, don't get me wrong I like seeing families up in Gisburn and there are enough of them giving it a good go fair play to them, but they can hold you up iff your timing yourself.

Watch yourselves on the Northshore. Slippery when wet.

Forget about times and just have fun. Surely that's the point...
