[Closed] Getting a topic removed by mods with no explanation?

Posted a thread today about Alan Ritchson and the fight he got into. It's been on several news sites and all over social media. 

Anyhow it got removed. Not sure why tbh, other than expressing the opinion that the agitator probably got what was coming to him for shoving him off his bike. (An opinion shared by most of the Internet)

Obviously Mods can delete whatever they like. But don't you usually get an email through when they think you've crossed a line explaining the decision? 

As a regular poster on here I totally accept the mods decision, but I'm genuinely curious as to why it was made. 

To be clear, not wanting to start a discussion about the original topic, just keen to understand the process, ie don't you get an email warning or something?
