STW Challenge - I kinda need to get to get from the North East to San Sebastian in early april for about a week.
Of course i can get a plane, too expensive, or walk / ride, too slow. the challenge is to find a way of doing it as cheaply as possible, any ideas?

I bet £5 cash money, that you cannot beat Manchest to San Sebastian for £195 with Vueling.
It's a 2000 mile round trip so if you drive it, and you get 50mpg it'll cost you more than that in fuel, and take 17 hours each way not including breaks etc. Plus there's an arseload of tolls and of course a crossing to consider. Maybe if you can take a few mates to spread the cost - but it's still a horrible trip.
You can take the train, it takes 23 hours, requires about 5 changes and costs about £300.
